Persian Cat Grooming in Gurgaon: Lion Cuts & Gentle De-matting

Pawmiable provides Persian cat grooming in Gurgaon at Conscient One Mall, Sector 109. Every session includes gentle de-matting, a lion cut or full trim, eye-area and tear-stain care, nail trim and a conditioning bath, from ₹899. Cats stay in our quiet cat-only zone. Open 10 AM to 9 PM, seven days.

Persian coats are the densest in the salon. The long, fine hair mats close to the skin within days, especially under the chin, behind the ears and across the belly, and Gurgaon's dust makes it worse. A Persian that is not groomed on schedule ends up shaved short, which no Persian parent wants.

We groom Persians slowly and calmly, in our cat-only zone away from dogs. De-matting is done with wide-tooth combs and patience, never yanking, so your cat leaves calm rather than traumatised.

Quiet cat-only zone

No dogs, no noise. Persians groom in a separate space with slow handling, which most cats need.

Gentle de-matting

Wide-tooth combs, section by section, never yanked. If a mat is too close to the skin, we shave it rather than pull.

Tear-stain care

Persian eyes water constantly. Every session includes careful cleaning, drying and a trim around the eyes.

Lion cut specialist

The lion cut for summer and a full or teddy groom for show cats, scissored to your Persian's shape.

Mats are worked out gently, then a warm conditioning bath and a careful, low-noise dry.

  3. 3

    The groom & finish

The details that matter

Everything our groomers would tell you in person, written down.

Why Persian coats mat even faster than they look

A Persian's coat is double-layered: a long outer coat over a dense woolly undercoat. That combination holds heat, traps dust and tangles within days, especially in Gurgaon's dry summers and humid monsoons. Mats start against the skin where they are invisible, which is why a Persian can look fine on top and be matted underneath.

The check is simple: part the coat at the chin, behind the ears and along the belly weekly. If a comb snags, the mat is already working against the skin.

Lion cut vs full groom: what suits your Persian

The lion cut shaves the body close, leaving the mane, chest and tail, which keeps a Persian cool in summer and ends most matting for months. A full groom keeps the coat long with combing and conditioning, which suits show cats and parents who love the floof. Between the two sits the teddy groom, a shorter all-over trim that keeps some fluff without the maintenance.

We recommend by season and lifestyle: lion cut before summer, full or teddy groom in the cooler months.

Tear stains: the Persian eye problem

Persian faces are bred flat, and flat faces have shallow tear ducts that overflow. The moisture stains the fur and, if left, can irritate the skin under the eyes. We clean and dry the area every session, keep the eye hair short so air reaches the skin, and suggest daily wipes at home.

If staining turns red, crusty or smells, that is an infection, not a stain, and we will tell you to see a vet before we groom over it.

Aftercare: keeping the groom fresh at home

Small habits between visits stretch every session by weeks.

  • Comb the coat daily with a wide-tooth comb, focus on chin and belly
  • Wipe the eye area daily with a damp, soft cloth
  • Book the next groom before you leave, every 4 to 6 weeks
  • Keep your cat indoors during monsoon, damp coats invite skin issues
  • Tell us if your cat is nervous, we will book a quieter slot

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, no fine print.

How much does Persian cat grooming cost in Gurgaon?

Persian cat grooming at Pawmiable starts at ₹899 for a bath, combing, eye care and nail trim. A lion cut is ₹1,149 and heavy de-matting is quoted after the coat check, before we start. We confirm the price before any work begins.

How often should a Persian cat be groomed?

Every 4 to 6 weeks for a full groom. Persian coats mat fast, so weekly combing at home between sessions is essential, and a groom every 4 to 6 weeks keeps the coat healthy instead of needing to be shaved.

What is a lion cut for a Persian cat?

The lion cut shaves the body close and leaves a fluffy mane, chest and tail tip, so the cat looks like a small lion. It is the most popular Persian style in Gurgaon summers because it keeps the coat off the skin while leaving the face intact.

Does cat grooming stress Persians?

It should not. We work in a cat-only zone, keep sessions calm and short, and stop at the first sign of stress. Most Persians settle within their first visit, and regular grooming makes each visit easier.

Why does my Persian have tear stains?

Persian faces are flat and their eyes water constantly, which stains the fur under the eyes. We clean and dry the area every session, keep the eye hair short, and suggest daily wipes. Persistent staining or redness should get a vet check.

Can I walk in for a Persian cat groom in Gurgaon?

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments guarantee your slot. Book through the form, call +91 99719 09459 or WhatsApp us, and we confirm the same day. First visits get 10% off.
