Labrador Grooming in Gurgaon: Baths, De-shedding & Coat Care
Pawmiable provides Labrador grooming in Gurgaon at Conscient One Mall, Sector 109. Every session includes a deep-clean bath, de-shedding blow-out, nail trim, ear cleaning and a skin check, from ₹899. Labs shed year-round and need a groom every 6 to 8 weeks. Never shaved, ever. Open 10 AM to 9 PM, seven days.
Labradors are Gurgaon's most common large breed, and they live hard: parks, mud, monsoon walks and constant swimming in the warmer months. That lifestyle shows up in the coat, the ears and the nails, which is why a Lab needs a proper groom, not just a bath.
The Lab routine at Pawmiable is a deep-clean bath, a de-shedding blow-out that cuts the year-round shedding, and active-dog nail and paw care. Short coats still need professional work: the double coat, the floppy ears and the fast-growing nails are all easy to get wrong at home.

Golden Retriever
Goldens shed heavily and need a groom with de-shedding every 5 to 6 weeks. We do a full bath, de-shedding blow-out, feathering trim on legs and tail, and ear cleaning. Their dense undercoat needs specialist tools, and we have them.
- 02
Labrador
Labs shed all year and blow their short double coat twice a year. We do deep-clean baths, de-shedding blow-outs, nail trims and ear cleaning every 6 to 8 weeks, and we never shave the double coat.
- 03
Husky
Huskies blow their coat twice a year in Gurgaon's climate. We do a high-velocity blow-out de-shedding that removes the undercoat without cutting. Our groomers never shave a Husky.
The details that matter
Everything our groomers would tell you in person, written down.
Why Labs shed all year (and blow out twice)
A Labrador has a short, dense double coat: a soft undercoat under a weatherproof outer coat. The undercoat turns over year-round, which is why Lab fur appears on every surface in the house, and it blows out completely twice a year, around February to March and September to October.
The de-shedding blow-out handles both. Warm forced air lifts the loose undercoat out in one session, cutting shedding at home by up to 80% for weeks. It is the difference between a Lab that covers the sofa in fur and one that does not.
The never-shave rule, even for short coats
It is a common mistake to think a short-coated dog can be shaved safely. A Lab's coat is still double-layered and regulates temperature and sun protection. Shaved Labs grow back patchy coats and can struggle with Gurgaon's sun and mosquitoes.
The right approach is the bath, the blow-out and a brush, which is exactly what our Lab sessions do. We will never shave a double coat, whatever the breed.
Ears, nails and the active Lab
Lab ears are floppy and hold moisture, and active Labs pick up water and dust on every outing. We clean and air the ears on every visit and flag redness or smell for a vet check.
Nails get the same attention: active Labs on hard floors and in parks wear them unevenly, and long nails strain the joints. We trim, file and check the paw pads for cracks on every visit.
Aftercare: keeping the groom fresh at home
Small habits between visits stretch every session by weeks.
- Brush once or twice a week with a rubber curry brush
- Dry the ears thoroughly after every swim or rain walk
- Book de-shedding just before coat-blowing season (Feb-Mar and Sep-Oct)
- Check paw pads for cracks if your Lab runs on hard floors
- Book the next groom before you leave, every 6 to 8 weeks

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers, no fine print.
How much does Labrador grooming cost in Gurgaon?
Labrador grooming at Pawmiable starts at ₹899 for the Essential Groom. The Signature Groom is ₹1,149 and includes a full de-shedding blow-out and nail care. We confirm the quote before we start.
How often should a Labrador be groomed?
Every 6 to 8 weeks. Labs shed year-round and blow their coat twice a year, so the bath and de-shedding blow-out every 6 to 8 weeks keeps the loose fur out of your home and the coat healthy.
Do Labradors shed a lot?
Yes, Labs are heavy year-round shedders, and Gurgaon's heat makes the turnover worse. A de-shedding blow-out removes up to 80% of the loose fur in one session, which drops the shedding at home for weeks.
Can you shave a Labrador to stop shedding?
No. A Lab's short coat is still double-layered, and shaving damages the growth pattern and sun protection. Shedding is controlled with de-shedding blow-outs and brushing, not shaving.
Do Labs need their nails trimmed?
Yes, every 3 to 4 weeks. Active Labs on hard floors wear their nails less than people expect, and overgrown nails push the toes apart and strain the joints. We trim and file on every visit.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments guarantee your slot. Book through the form, call +91 99719 09459 or WhatsApp us, and we confirm the same day. First visits get 10% off.
