Golden Retriever
Goldens shed heavily and need a groom with de-shedding every 5 to 6 weeks. We do a full bath, de-shedding blow-out, feathering trim on legs and tail, and ear cleaning. Their dense undercoat needs specialist tools, and we have them.

Huskies blow their coat twice a year in Gurgaon's climate. We do a high-velocity blow-out de-shedding that removes the undercoat without cutting. Our groomers never shave a Husky.

Why matting is a health issue, not a look issue
A mat looks untidy, but what it does under the surface is worse. Mats pull on the skin constantly, trap moisture and dirt, and hide hot spots, sores and even parasites until they are serious. Heavily matted dogs often have red, inflamed skin underneath the coat.
We de-mat patiently, section by section, holding the skin taught so the comb never pulls. A mat sitting too close to the skin is shaved out rather than torn out. If the matting is severe, we will suggest a shorter clip while the skin recovers.
Blow-outs vs shaving: the double-coat rule
Double-coated breeds (Golden Retrievers, Labs, German Shepherds, Huskies, Spitz types) regulate temperature through their undercoat. Shaving them does not stop shedding and permanently damages the coat's growth pattern.
The correct treatment is a high-velocity blow-out: warm, forced air lifts the loose undercoat out in one session, cutting shedding by up to 80% for weeks. It is the single most requested treatment before Gurgaon summers.
Fleas, ticks and skin infections in Gurgaon's weather
Warm, humid months are peak flea and tick season, and parks around Gurgaon carry them. We check the coat and skin during every session, and flea and tick baths remove what is there. It should not. We separate mats section by section with the right tools and hold the skin taught so there is no pulling. If a mat is too close to the skin, we shave it out rather than cause pain.
How much does de-matting cost in Gurgaon?
Light de-matting is included in every grooming package. A full de-shedding blow-out add-on costs ₹299, and heavy de-matting for severely matted coats is quoted after the coat check, before we start.
How long does a de-shedding session take?
De-shedding blow-outs take 30 to 45 minutes on top of the bath. Heavy de-matting can add an hour. We tell you the time estimate after the coat check.
Do you shave Huskies to stop shedding?
Never. Shaving a Husky damages the double coat and its temperature regulation. We remove the blown undercoat with a high-velocity blow-out instead, which stops shedding without cutting the coat.
What is a medicated bath used for?
Medicated baths calm itchy skin, flaking and mild infections, and they are the first step for dogs with recurring skin issues. We assess the skin first; if the condition looks serious, we recommend a vet visit first.
