Pomeranian Grooming in Gurgaon: Plush Coats, Done Right
Pawmiable provides Pomeranian grooming in Gurgaon at Conscient One Mall, Sector 109. Every session includes a gentle bath, de-shedding blow-out, lion or teddy style trim, nail trim and ear cleaning, from ₹899. We never shave the double coat. Open 10 AM to 9 PM, seven days.
A Pomeranian is a small dog with a big double coat, and the coat is the whole story. The plush undercoat sheds heavily in Gurgaon's climate, and the fine outer coat mats behind the ears, under the arms and around the tail within days.
We groom Poms gently, because most of them are small and easily startled. The routine is a calm bath, a high-velocity de-shedding blow-out that lifts the loose undercoat without cutting, and a lion or teddy trim shaped to your Pom's proportions.

Never-shave double coat
Shaving a Pomeranian ruins the coat's growth pattern and temperature control. We de-shed and trim, never shave.
De-shedding blow-out
The high-velocity blow-out lifts the loose undercoat out, cutting shedding at home by up to 80% for weeks.
Lion & teddy styles
The classic Pom lion cut and the rounded teddy style, scissored to your dog's shape, never off a template.
Small-dog patience
Poms are delicate and often anxious. We use slow handling, short steps and plenty of breaks.
What's included
- Gentle bath & de-shedding blow-out
- Lion or teddy style trim
- Mat care behind ears & tail
- Nail trim & ear cleaning
How the session works
- 1
Coat check
We check for mats behind the ears and tail, and agree the style and quote before anything starts.
- 2
Bath & de-shed
A gentle bath with coat-appropriate shampoo, then the de-shedding blow-out that lifts the undercoat.
- 3
Trim & finish
Lion or teddy trim, nail trim, ear cleaning and a finish. Most Pom sessions take 60 to 90 minutes.

and every mix in between
- 01
Husky
Huskies blow their coat twice a year in Gurgaon's climate. We do a high-velocity blow-out de-shedding that removes the undercoat without cutting. Our groomers never shave a Husky.
- 02
Pomeranian
Pomeranians have a plush double coat that sheds heavily and mats behind the ears and tail. We do a gentle bath, de-shedding blow-out and a lion or teddy style trim, and we never shave the undercoat.
- 03
Pug
Pugs have facial folds that collect debris. Our Pug grooming includes fold cleaning, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning and a light de-shedding bath that reduces their heavy shedding.
The details that matter
Everything our groomers would tell you in person, written down.
The double coat: why you never shave a Pomeranian
A Pomeranian has a soft, dense undercoat and a longer, harsher outer coat, and together they regulate the dog's temperature in both heat and cold. Shaving removes that system. The undercoat often grows back thick and patchy, the outer coat may never regain its texture, and the shaved Pom can struggle with sun and mosquitoes.
The correct approach is the de-shedding blow-out: warm forced air lifts the loose undercoat out in one session, which is what cuts shedding at home by up to 80%. It is the treatment we do on every Pom visit.
Lion cut vs teddy cut for Pomeranians
The lion cut is the classic Pom style: body trimmed close, chest and neck left as a mane, tail fluffed like a plume. It suits Gurgaon summers and dogs who love to run. The teddy cut keeps the coat short and rounded all over, which suits the plush toy look and cuts brushing time.
Both are done by hand to your Pom's shape. We recommend the lion cut before summer and a teddy or full coat in the cooler months.
Shedding and mats: the Pom maintenance schedule
Pomeranians shed year-round and blow their undercoat twice a year. In Gurgaon, the shedding is heavier because of the heat, and the fine outer coat mats quickly behind the ears and around the tail. The schedule that works: a de-shedding groom every 4 to 6 weeks, brushing 2 to 3 times a week at home, and never letting a mat sit.
If mats are already against the skin, we comb them out or spot-trim, never shave down. A matted Pom can usually be saved with patience.
Aftercare: keeping the groom fresh at home
Small habits between visits stretch every session by weeks.
- Brush 2 to 3 times a week with a slicker brush, mind the tail and ears
- Book the next groom before you leave, every 4 to 6 weeks
- Watch for mats behind the ears and around the tail between visits
- Use a harness, not a collar, to protect the Pom's delicate throat
- Ask for the lion cut before summer for a cooler, cleaner coat

Frequently asked questions
Straight answers, no fine print.
How much does Pomeranian grooming cost in Gurgaon?
Pomeranian grooming at Pawmiable starts at ₹899 for the Essential Groom. The Signature Groom is ₹1,149 and includes a styled lion or teddy trim. A de-shedding blow-out can be added for ₹299, and we quote the full price before we start.
How often should a Pomeranian be groomed?
Every 4 to 6 weeks. The double coat needs a de-shedding blow-out every 4 to 6 weeks to control shedding, and the coat should be brushed 2 to 3 times a week at home between visits.
Can you shave a Pomeranian to stop shedding?
No. Shaving a Pom damages the double coat permanently: the undercoat grows back patchy and the outer coat loses its texture. Shedding is controlled with de-shedding blow-outs and brushing, not shaving.
What is a Pomeranian lion cut?
The lion cut trims the body shorter and leaves a fluffier mane around the chest and neck, with the tail shaped like a plume. It keeps the coat off the body in summer while keeping the Pom look. The teddy style keeps a rounded, even plush all over.
Is grooming stressful for Pomeranians?
It should not be. Poms are small and easily startled, so we use slow handling, quiet tools and breaks. Most Poms settle within their first session, and regular visits make each one easier.
